SHAH ALAM, Sept 24 — Selangor has established the Uniformity Committee Meeting under the Greater Klang Valley Development Council Main Committee to standardise governance across the metropolis.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the Greater Klang Valley, which integrates Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, and Klang, will adopt a unified set of guidelines, while all legal implementations will be streamlined and standardised.

“Expertise, resources, finances, and more will be harmonised to avoid overlaps and facilitate the affairs of residents,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Amirudin added that the Greater Klang Valley has the potential to become a leading economic hub in Southeast Asia and could rank among the top five metropolises in Asia.
“This achievement would undoubtedly enhance Selangor's prosperity a
nd benefit its people.
“A metropolis is a city with more than one million residents, functioning as a centre for administration, business, trade, industry, and high technology,” he said.
The Greater Klang Valley initiative was announced during the 2024 Selangor Budget on November 10 last year, with a RM2 million allocation to merge the four cities.
