SHAH ALAM, Dec 21 — The Kuala Langat Public Works Department (JKR) and various agencies yesterday launched the Risky Trees Felling and Trimming Operation on part of Jalan FT005 and Jalan Kampung Orang Asli Telok Bunut.
The integrated operation involved the Kuala Langat Municipal Council’s (MPKL) rapid response team PANTAS, Kuala Langat Traffic Division and Banting Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).
The operation involved sufficient assets and equipment to ensure smooth work in the field and to prioritise staff and road users’ safety.
“Trimming and felling works are focused on trees that were identified as risky and that could threaten public safety,” said Kuala Langat JKR in a statement.
“This initiative will be done in stages and with relevant agencies in other locations at risk in the future,” read the statement.
Kuala Langat JKR also expressed its appreciation and gratitude to all agencies over their cooperation, quick action and high commitment in ensuring road users’ safety and smooth traffic flow.
