JERLUN, July 8 — The government will look into a proposal to install guardrails and street lights along Jalan Sungai Korok in Jitra, where a recent tragedy claimed the lives of six family members, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi expressed his condolences to the next of kin of the family of six who were found dead in a car in Sungai Korok near Jitra, Kedah, today.

SUNGAI PETANI, July 6 — The police have shot dead another man believed to be involved in a series of armed robberies, just a day after two other suspects were killed in a shootout in Jitra.

ALOR SETAR, May 19 – Nine people were injured including three critically after a car skidded and crashed into a nasi lemak stall beside Jalan Hospital in Taman Suria near Jitra this morning.
