SHAH ALAM, March 23 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has intensified the monitoring of traffic control and hawker activities in public hotspot areas throughout the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday period.
Monitoring is being carried out along the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 route, including the placement of festive vendors selling items such as lemang and fireworks, to ensure traffic flow remains smooth.
“Inspections are also being conducted in Bukit Ampang involving unauthorised hawker activities as well as traffic conditions to safeguard the safety of road users.
“These monitoring measures also focus on controlling activities at busy locations to ensure that public affairs proceed in an orderly manner during the festive season,” it said in a statement yesterday.
MPAJ added that, despite the festive period, its personnel remain on the ground to ensure the community's well-being is maintained at all times.
The local authority also urged the public and hawkers to comply with the regulations in place and to cooperate in maintaining public order and safety.
“MPAJ will continue to intensify monitoring efforts on an ongoing basis to ensure a safe, orderly, and conducive environment for all,” it said.
