Thunderstorm, heavy rain alert for three states until 3pm

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Selangor, Perak, and Sarawak until 3pm today.

In a 12pm statement, it said the area expected to be affected in Selangor is Sabak Bernam, while in Perak, the areas are Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak.

In Sarawak, the warning covers Kuching (Kuching), Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong (Pusa and Betong), Sarikei (Meradong), Sibu (Sibu) and Mukah (Daro, Matu, and Dalat).
