BENTONG, Aug 24 — Members of the public will have the opportunity to review the entire Genting Highlands-Hulu Selangor Special Area Plan Draft, until September 15.
Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said the opportunity, which began on August 16, should be particularly utilised by parties of interest, stakeholders and associations.
"These parties, including residents and landowners, can submit suggestions, objections or share development methods so we can review the matter again.
"All suggestions and objections will be raised to the committee, which includes state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han and state executive councillor for tourism Hee Loy Sian. The review of all proposals might commence in either October or November," he said.
Amirudin was speaking at the officiation of the publicity and public participation programme for the Genting Highlands-Hulu Selangor Special Area Plan Draft, at the Geo Resort and Hotel here in Pahang yesterday.
The report can be reviewed at the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) headquarters' lobby, or PLANMalaysia Selangor's office at Bangunan Darul Ehsan in Shah Alam.
The draft plan is aimed at increasing the development potential of the land around Genting Highlands, which falls under the Hulu Selangor district.

The document will serve as a guideline for the implementation of sustainable development, in order to prevent negative environmental impact.
