SHAH ALAM, Dec 24 — Twenty solar street lamps have been installed around Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB) as a proactive measure to enhance safety, lighting, and residents’ comfort, with plans for further installations in the future.

Local assemblyman Pang Sock Tao said the installation was carried out by the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) based on on-site needs and feedback from the community.

“MPHS has installed 20 solar street lamps and will add more in the future to ensure residential areas are safer and more comfortable,” she said.

She also held a meet-and-greet session with the KKB community to provide residents an opportunity to raise complaints and local issues so that solutions can be found in a phased and effective manner.

“Together with council member for Zone 7 Lembah Beringin, Srikanth, I met with representatives of residents’ associations, senior citizens’ groups, community associations, surau committees, and Kemas.

“Several infrastructure issues and local concerns were raised and discussed during the meeting,” she shared on Facebook.

In a related development, Pang also informed that the issue of a private road connecting Lembah Beringin and Kerling has shown positive progress, as the landowners have given consent for maintenance, enabling follow-up actions to improve safety and smooth movement for residents.

“The landowners’ agreement opens the way for road maintenance work to ensure the safety and smooth movement of residents,” she said.
