KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 20 — Several states and territories across the country are forecast to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds until 5pm today.
The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued the bad weather warning for the districts of Gombak, Kuala Langat and Hulu Langat in Selangor, as well as the neighbouring Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.
Other areas in the peninsula expected to be affected are Pahang (Jerantut, Bentong, Kuantan and Pekan) and Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu).
In Sarawak, the warning covers Sarikei (Sarikei and Meradong), Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Mukah, Bintulu (Tatau and Bintulu), Miri (Miri and Marudi), and Limbang.
In Sabah, affected districts include Pedalaman (Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Tambunan), Pantai Barat, Tawau (Kunak, Semporna and Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Tongod, Kinabatangan and Sandakan), and Kudat (Kota Marudu).
The Federal Territory of Labuan is also expected to experience thunderstorms.
