KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 — The GM Klang Wholesale City continues to be the focus of customers, including those from neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia, in making preparations for Aidilfitri celebrations, especially for home decoration items.
GM Klang Brand Communications senior manager, Norsuhaida Othman said customers can not only buy goods at wholesale prices but also various products can be purchased under one roof.
“Many buses ferrying groups from Singapore came here, especially two or three months before Ramadan month, and this showed their loyalty to GM Klang in getting items for raya preparations, as they always did before the pandemic.
“We also found that, on average, customers like carpets, curtains and home decorations available at GM Klang, apart from baju raya. In fact, some come here just to order curtains, which can be completed within a few hours,” she said, in a statement here today.
She also added that among other popular household items at the wholesale centre are wall stickers, bed sheets, tablecloths, decorative trees and flowers, and cushion covers.
Norsuhaida said other main attractions are decorative raya items such as LED lights and lanterns.
She added that GM Klang expects the number of shoppers to continue to increase until the end of Ramadan, as the trend of last-minute shopping is still popular among the community.
