SHAH ALAM, Nov 28 — Authors who own a complete manuscript but have yet to find a publisher are welcome to submit their piece at the Selangor International Book Fair 2022 (SIBF 2022) which will run from December 1 to December 11.
The Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) on Facebook said interested authors could hand over their completed and printed manuscripts to the agency’s representative at the book fair.
“Are you an author who has a completed manuscript but unsure of how to proceed or which publisher to meet? Hand over your manuscript to the PPAS representative at our talent corner.
“The manuscript will be assessed by PPAS librarians before being recommended to interested publishers. We will arrange a matching session should your manuscripts be selected,” it said.
The SIBF 2022 will be held at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Centre in Section 13 from December 1 to 11.
The book fair will see the participation of foreign book distributors and publishers including United Kingdom’s Bloomsbury and Wiley, as well as Indonesia’s Brand Media.
Several other activities will also take place, like the Selangor International Children’s Contest which includes reading workshops, illustrator clinics, seminars, and obtaining guidance from children’s book activists.
PPAS will also be offering a cash prize of RM500 to lucky visitors through nine lucky draws sessions every day throughout the event.
