SHAH ALAM, March 14 — The Sultan of Selangor has congratulated the people in the state who have contributed to the high rate of Covid-19 vaccination, with more than 90 per cent of them fully vaccinated.
However, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj had reminded the people to continue to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs), which have been set out in preparation for the endemic phase.
“Post-pandemic life requires us to prioritise healthcare. Apart from the immunisation efforts by the Health Ministry, the Selangor government had also initiated its vaccination programme known as the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax)
“This includes the Selvax for the industry and the community, Selvax Mobile, Selvax for Adolescents and Selvax Booster,” said the Selangor Ruler in his royal address during the opening of the First Meeting of the Fifth Term of the 14th Selangor State Legislative Assembly, here today.
The Selangor Ruler had also reminded the people to continue adopting a healthy lifestyle to prevent other non-infectious diseases.
“The digitalisation-based of comprehensive, affordable and efficient management of public healthcare has become fundamental in ensuring the continuity of Selangor’s economy and the well-being of its citizens.
“This has led to allocation of RM65 million from the state government for health management in 2022,” said the Selangor Sultan.
Sultan Sharafuddin had also urged the people to take advantage of the health screening programme offered by the state administration, Saring Selangor, which would be conducted throughout the state.
“Such screening programmes are very crucial for early detection of high-risk diseases and would ensure those in need can receive early treatment,” he added.
