Exco hopes business loan allocation retained in 2022 Budget

By Mustakim Ramli

KUALA SELANGOR, Oct 11 — State Housing, Urban Wellbeing and Entrepreneur Development exco Rodziah Ismail hopes the RM80 allocation for business loans under Yayasan Hijrah Selangor will be retained in the Selangor Budget 2022, to be tabled next month.

She said the allocation can be used to generate more economic activity, as well as bring numerous returns to the state.

“As mentioned by the Menteri Besar, to ensure that Selangor’s economy moves at a fast pace, we should certainly encourage more development and entrepreneurial programmes.

“When the money goes to the people, it will stimulate the economy. We hope that when Hijrah provides the RM80 million, it will have a five-fold effect on the state’s economic activity,” Rodziah said, after handing over animal feed processing machines to livestock breeders.

She added that she remains confident in Hijrah’s entrepreneurs, who will do their best this year as they did the previous year.

The two Pakej Kita Selangor to be tabled this year will also allocate RM15 million for the implementation of the Go Digital Scheme, to encourage traders in joining online sales.

The Niaga Darul Ehsan Scheme with a RM10 million allocation will aid individuals who wish to start their own business and generate income during the Covid-19 pandemic.
