SHAH ALAM, Nov 11 — State micro-financing foundation Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah) is targeting 100 entrepreneurs for its i-Lestari financing scheme until the end of the year.
Its promotion manager Mohd Ridhwan Asmara said the scheme, introduced last month, offers financing between RM51,000 to RM100,000 for entrepreneurs involved in all economic activities.
He added that 27 individuals have benefited from the scheme, with RM2.56 million in investment value thus far. The majority of these entrepreneurs are in the supply and services businesses.
"We call upon those who are already running businesses and possess licenses issued by the Companies Commission of Malaysia and local authorities, so they can benefit from the scheme being offered.
"This is in line with Hijrah's wish to aid traders in expanding their business activities, as well as rebuild themselves after being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic," he said when contacted yesterday.

On October 27, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari launched the i-Lestari, i-Agro, and i-Bermusim schemes under Hijrah with an Islamic concept.
The schemes were introduced for entrepreneurs to recover and restart their businesses affected by Covid-19.
Amirudin added the loan amount was increased from RM50,000 to RM100,000 in order to expand businesses.
