SHAH ALAM, SEP 18: Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development Exco, Dr Daroyah Alwi denied claims of a power takeover through the ‘back door’ in Selangor.
She said, it is impossible for that to happen in Selangor as all Assemblymen’s support towards Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali remains intact.
“Of course we will remain with the principle to be together in KEADILAN’s struggle. Come what may, we shall remain strongly bonded in the principle of our struggles together with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, led by Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah.
“And with Datuk Seri Azmin Ali in Selangor. We will not compromise on that,” she said, reported Antarapos.
Media had earlier reported that there are KEADILAN Assemblymen who will be joining Umno after the former Menteri Besar Selangor, Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib, who was in KEADILAN before, had joined UMNO.
However, Dato’ Menteri Besar’s Political Secretary, Shuhaimi Shafie said, the negative speculation was made to distort Selangor’s smooth administration.
“It is believed that this speculation is to divert peoples’ attention. It is also aimed to distort the State Government’s smooth administration,” he said.
