SHAH ALAM, OCT 27: State Government is committed to empowering youth through the Youth Enhancement Scheme (YES) programme and Internship High Impact Talent (i-HIT).
Education, Human Capital development, Sciences, Technology and Innovation Exco Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said that these efforts ensure young people receive proper training in the latest technical skills in the industry.
He said the certificates awarded from the programme will help them advance their careers.
"Programmes such as i-HIT also allows them to explore the latest in technology, such as Big Data Analytics and Cloud Computing.
“As an advanced industrial state, Selangor youth are assets to the State Government,” he said in his speech at YES Selangor and i-HIT Convocation Ceremony held at Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC) headquarters on 25 October.
A total of 61 graduates successfully completed the YES Selangor training module. Meanwhile, i-HIT was undertaken in collaboration with Selangor University (UNISEL), which produced 75 graduates.
At the same event, Nik Nazmi also witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SHRDC and two industrial companies.
The event was also attended by SHRDC Vice-Chairman Tham Wai Keong, SHRDC Executive Director Tan Beng Teong and Boxhill Institute Australia Chief Executive Officer Norman Gray.
