SHAH ALAM, July 7 — The state government has taken the initiative to set up a small-scale Covid-19 quarantine and low-risk treatment centre (PKRC) at Mentari Court in PJS 8, in Petaling Jaya, to facilitate the health monitoring of the residents in the area.
Selangor State Health Department director Datuk Dr Sha’ari Ngadiman said the approach is being carried out to ensure that those who have been infected by the virus can be directly assessed at the Covid-19 assessment centre (CAC) located there.
“The approach to providing a small-scale PKRC aims to gather the Covid-19 positive residents at the centre while those who are negative will be screened and vaccinated at the residential area,” he said during a live talk show on Astro Awani last night.
On Monday, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said a mobile clinic, CAC and a quarantine centre will be provided at Mentari Court.
He said the new element will also be implemented in other areas under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO).
