SHAH ALAM, March 23 — More than 70 special children's education and community-based rehabilitation (CBR) institutions in Selangor that run the Early Intervention Programme (EIP) are expected to apply for assistance of up to RM10,000.

Anak Istimewa Selangor (AnIS) Department head Danial Al-Rashid Haron said the Didik AnIS assistance scheme with an allocation of RM500,000 targets to receive applications from educational and CBR institutions registered under the Social Welfare Department (JKM) and the Education Ministry (MOE).

"This assistance enables the centres to upgrade their needs, provide a conducive environment for its therapy classes as well as help children with special needs receive EIP more effectively and systematically," he told SelangorKini.

The institutions can apply online at the website via www.anisselangor.com/didikanis starting yesterday until April 30.

Among the documents required is a copy of the institution's registration certificate, registration certificate with JKM and MOE, list of institution trainees’ names and certificates, list of children's names and ages, identity card number and type of disability as well as a copy of the latest bank statement.

The completed application form must be attached with the supporting documents and sent to the e-mail address at jabatananis@yawas.my.
