SHAH ALAM, Nov 18 — A total of 6,657 job opportunities will be offered at the Jelajah Selangor Bekerja 2020 (Selangor Jobs Exploration 2020) roadshow in Gombak and Paya Jaras this coming November 21 and 22.
State executive councillor for youth development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the programme will be held at the Dewan Taman Sri Gombak on Saturday and the Dewan Majlis Daerah Kuala Selangor (MDKS) in Saujana Utama on Sunday.
“A total of 18 companies will participate in the programme in Gombak which offers 3,260 vacancies with 1,171 positions for graduates.
"As for the event in Paya Jaras, 1,240 job opportunities are available for graduates from the total of 3,307 vacancies offered by 19 employers," he told SelangorKini today.
Mohd Khairuddin said applicants will either be interviewed online or attend a face-to-face interview that follows the standard operating procedure (SOP).
“The state government will strive to ensure those who were affected by Covid-19 will find new jobs,” he said.
On Sunday, a total of 20 out of 100 job applicants at the Selangor Jobs Exploration 2020 held at the Kuala Selangor Indoor Stadium were offered jobs.
Among the vacancies include lecturers, Al-Quran tutor, sales manager, research officer, technician, production operator, call operator, terminal tractor operator and storekeeper.
The career roadshow organised by the state government had received 9,969 applications since registration was opened on September 15.
