SHAH ALAM, March 24 — A burst pipe incident along Jalan Mas 1, Taman Cheras Mas, on January 2 remains under investigation, with further assessment being carried out by Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd together with relevant authorities.
Air Selangor chief executive officer Adam Saffian Ghazali said the company received a complaint about an incident involving a 150-millimetre-diameter asbestos-cement pipe located in front of a residential property.
Upon receiving the complaint, the company immediately deployed its technical team to the location, and repairs commenced the same day.
“The damaged section of the pipe was subsequently replaced, and repair works were fully completed on January 3 at around 1.40pm,” he said in a statement.
Adam added that Air Selangor is currently working with the relevant authorities, including insurance adjusters, to review the case comprehensively.
The company remains in contact with the affected homeowner to obtain further information as part of the ongoing investigation.
“Air Selangor remains committed to providing full cooperation to the relevant parties to ensure the matter is handled appropriately,” he said.
Previously, media reports stated that residents in the area had voiced concerns following the burst pipe incident, which allegedly damaged their homes, including cracks in floors and walls.
