SHAH ALAM, March 21 — The police are actively tracking down three male suspects believed to be involved in a house break-in in Section 9 on Thursday (March 19) night.
Shah Alam district police chief ACP Ramsay Embol said a report was received from a local man in his 60s at 11.52pm on the same day.
The incident is believed to have occurred between 8pm and 11pm, involving three unidentified suspects dressed entirely in black, wearing face masks and moving on foot.
“Investigations at the scene found that the house was not equipped with a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system or a security alarm.
“However, police have obtained CCTV recordings from the residential area’s management as well as nearby neighbours to assist further investigations,” he said in a statement.
Ramsay added that the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code, which provides for imprisonment of up to 14 years, a fine, or whipping upon conviction.
Members of the public with information related to the incident are urged to contact the investigating officer Inspector Mohamad Amzar Mohamad Shuffie at 013-6666657 or the Shah Alam district police headquarters at 03-55202222 to assist in the investigation.
