SHAH ALAM, March 20 — Ninety-one families in Rawang have received free baby nappies through a recent distribution programme aimed at easing the burden of the rising costs of living.
Rawang state assemblyman Chua Wei Kiat said the initiative provides relief to families, particularly those with young children facing rising daily expenses.
“Each family received one box of baby nappies, and it is hoped this assistance will help reduce their daily expenditure,” he said in a Facebook post.
The programme also received support from former Hulu Selangor MP June Leow, who helped ensure the supply was secured and that the distribution ran smoothly.
“Thank you to June Leow for her assistance and efforts in coordination, which enabled us to obtain the supplies and carry out this programme smoothly,” Chua said.
He added that similar initiatives will be extended to the Kuang and Templer areas to ensure more families in need can benefit.
“Where there is a need, we will continue striving, step by step, to do our best,” Chua said.
