West Asia conflict: Selangor property sector still stable

KUALA LANGAT, March 18 — The conflict in West Asia involving Iran, Israel, and the United States has not directly impacted the state's property sector to date.

State executive councillor for housing and culture Datuk Borhan Aman Shah said his office has not received any complaints from developers regarding the matter.

“So far, we have not received any complaints from developers,” he told Media Selangor during the 2026 Hari Raya Bingkisan Programme for the Tanjong Sepat state constituency at Dewan Kebudayaan Pantai Batu Laut yesterday.

Borhan added that Selangor's development projects are proceeding as usual, and demand for property remains stable.

However, he did not rule out the possibility that the conflict could have an impact if it continues, including potential increases in oil prices that could affect economic costs.

“If it prolongs, it will have a global economic impact, not just within the Asian region but across the world,” Borhan said.
