GOMBAK, March 22 — The Islam Darul Ehsan Foundation (Yide) has allocated RM1.93 million to celebrate 13,000 orphans across the state in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Its chairman Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor said the contributions have been distributed in stages by the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, starting from the beginning of the Ramadan fasting month.
“Today marks the final phase of the distribution, and we hope this will bring joy to the recipients as Aidilfitri approaches,” he said at an event in Kuang today.

In his address at the Asrama Anak Yatim Damai orphanage, Mazlan also mentioned that 26 out of 35 orphanages in Selangor are registered under Yide and the Social Welfare Department.
Earlier, Tengku Amir presented duit raya to 60 orphans at the hostel and witnessed the handover of a wakaf fisabilillah donation worth RM40,000 for carpet replacements.
At the same event, His Royal Highness also witnessed the presentation of a RM100,000 contribution from the Selangor State Development Corporation, handed over by its senior general manager of corporate services Sapna Turmidi.
Tengku Amir later performed the Zuhur congregational prayer with the people.
