SHAH ALAM, March 19 — Selangor has successfully collected RM605.51 million in revenue as of February 28, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said the amount is RM32 million higher than in the same period last year.
“The amount we collected has already exceeded a quarter (25.77 per cent) of our annual target,” he said at the Mahabbah Ramadan Madani 2025 event with state civil servants at Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Abdul Aziz here today.
The state government is looking to collect RM2.35 billion in revenue this year.
He also highlighted the state’s strengthened financial position, with reserves rising from RM3.898 billion in February last year to RM4.542 billion this year — an increase of RM643.51 million.
“Additionally, with several new structural adjustments, the state government expects to generate an additional revenue of RM74 million through revised raw water abstraction charges,” he said.
