SHAH ALAM, Feb 26 — Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, has launched its Group Strategic Blueprint (GSB) in conjunction with its 30th anniversary.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the blueprint will guide MBI’s direction until 2028 and ensure the agency continues to drive the economy.
“Based on its performance, the state government is confident in MBI’s ability to empower Selangor’s economic growth through the transformation blueprint introduced today (yesterday).
“I’m also confident Selangor can strengthen its gross domestic product growth via contributions from MBI and its subsidiaries,” he said at a press conference.
Amirudin was met at MBI’s 30th anniversary dinner in Setia Alam here last night. Also present were State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajudin and MBI chief executive officer Saipolyazan M. Yusop.

Amirudin said MBI is implementing clearer organisational restructuring to obtain and boost its income through its subsidiaries.
The restructuring, which began in 2018, involves five sectors — water, property and development, investment, energy and utilities, and mining and minerals.
“The restructuring is not just for MBI’s internal structure, but for MBI and its subsidiaries. We are aiming for dividends to MBI to be achieved and returned to the state government,” he said.
GSB outlines five core focuses — growing income and profit, optimising its business portfolio, digital transformation and automation, strengthening its administration, and developing a high-performance talent and culture.
