SHAH ALAM, Feb 8 — A treasure hunt game featuring artefacts is among the main attractions of the Fun@MSAS programme, in conjunction with the reopening of the Sultan Alam Shah Museum (MSAS) today.
Organised by the Selangor Malay Customs and Heritage Corporation, the programme runs from today until February 16 as a school holiday activity, said state executive councillor for housing and culture Datuk Borhan Aman Shah.
“Visitors need to purchase a passport for RM3. They must search for artefacts, and each discovery will be stamped until the passport is full to receive a prize,” he said.
Borhan added that other activities include cooking competitions, colouring contests, cempuling music performances, and traditional cooking demonstrations of lempeng, wadai kepeng, biscuits, and kopi laut, all free of charge.
Speaking after officiating the FUN@MSAS programme, he said the museum, which had been closed since 2019 for upgrading works, is offering free entry to the public until May.
“However, school, college, and university students who officially apply for a visit and attend in uniform will be granted free admission,” Borhan said.
The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj is expected to officiate the museum’s reopening in conjunction with International Museum Day in May.
