KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 — The 10th Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 has attracted 183,221 visitors across seven days.

The event, which ended Wednesday, showcased nearly 70 leading automotive and mobility brands. Themed “Beyond Mobility”, the event emphasised sustainability and electrification to the forefront of innovation.

It featured notable participants such as Toyota, Perodua, Proton, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan and many more.

In a statement today, Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain said the event highlighted Malaysia’s expanding influence in the global mobility landscape.

“KLIMS 2024 exemplified Malaysia’s commitment to shaping the future of transportation and this reaffirms our position as a key player in the global mobility ecosystem, inspiring collaboration and innovation across industries.

“We are excited to build on this momentum, driving progress and setting new benchmarks as we navigate the future of mobility,” he said.

Shamsor added that KLIMS 2024 would not have been possible without the generous support of its sponsors, which includes UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT), Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd, DRB-Hicom EZ-Drive Sdn Bhd, and more.

According to the statement, the exhibitors were celebrated for their exceptional creativity and design excellence, with the prestigious Best Booth Design Awards recognising standout winners across multiple categories.

In the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) category (400 sq m and above), UMWT claimed first place, followed by Proton Holdings Bhd in second and Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd in third.

Stellantis Malaysia Sdn Bhd emerged as the overall winner in the OEM category (399 sqm and below), while for the non-OEM category, PECCA Leather Sdn Bhd took the top spot, with Wedrink Enterprise Management (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd securing second and Didi Group in third place.

KLIMS 2024 also delighted visitors with exciting prizes. Grand prize winner Mohd Azzarain Abdul Aziz drove away in a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited, and first prize winner Leaw Xiu Qi took home a Perodua Axia.

These prizes, along with the show’s success, were celebrated during the Appreciation High-tea hosted by MAA, where exhibitors were acknowledged for their creativity and innovation.
