SHAH ALAM, Oct 6 — The Selangor Volunteers (SERVE) will be mobilised for post-flood operations to assist with the cleaning and removal of damaged belongings from flood victims.

Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said that in an effort to ease the burden on the victims, the Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) Foundation or MBI has also provided emergency basic aid, like daily necessities.

"InsyaAllah, the state government will continuously ensure the welfare of these disaster victims from time to time," he said in a Facebook post today.

"InsyaAllah, if the weather permits, the victims at PPS SK Desa Aman can return to their homes today after three days away," he said.

As of this morning, state executive councillor for disaster management Najwan Halimi said 909 flood victims from 213 families are still housed in six PPS centres.

The number of victims in the Kuala Selangor, Gombak, and Petaling districts has decreased compared to 975 people from 232 families yesterday night.
