HULU LANGAT, Sept 1 — The Mega Road Resurfacing Project 2.0, which begins this month, will use a new technology called ‘jet patcher’ for more durable and robust patching results.
State executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Izham Hashim said the new method, which involves high-tech technology, involves a RM20 million allocation.
“The RM20 million budget paper has been approved. This week, the paper on the implementation method will be discussed as we have made some adjustments.

“We have new technology, the high-tech ‘jet patcher’, which will greatly help in the durability of pothole repairs. We will provide further details later,” he said after observing the suckermouth catfish (ikan bandaraya) catching programme at Denai Sungai Kebangsaan at Sungai Langat today.
Previously, Izham said the Mega Road Resurfacing Project 2.0 will focus on critically-damaged roads, with repair work using new, high-tech machinery imported from the United Kingdom.
Last year, the state government spent RM50 million on a large-scale road paving project, comprehensively implemented to encompass road maintenance and widening, so as to improve residents' facilities.
Covering a distance of 94.9km, the maintenance work involved 66 roads in Petaling, followed by Klang (39), Gombak (29), Hulu Langat (27), Sepang (19), Sabak Bernam (17), Kuala Langat (16), Kuala Selangor (11), and Hulu Selangor (eight).
