SHAH ALAM, Jan 6 — The upcoming Selangor State Legislative Assembly will meet for 10 days starting February 27 until March 11.
Speaker Lau Weng San said the opening of the sitting is expected to be officiated by Sultan Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj.
He said the state assembly sitting would convene as usual, and the debate would follow after the royal address from His Royal Highness.
“I hope everyone, especially the opposition, will attend the state assembly sitting and committee meetings diligently, be on time, and actively engage in discussions to address issues that truly benefit the people.
“Please refrain from raising issues that can divide the people because it may weaken both the people and the state,” he said when contacted by Selangorkini.
Commenting on the overall performance of the state assemblymen during the recent sitting last November, Lau expressed satisfaction and commended them for their commendable turnout.
“The overall performance of the state assemblymen is good, especially the attendance. Hopefully, the next sitting will be similar,” he added.
