SHAH ALAM, July 6 — Approximately RM459,154 has ben spent by Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd on corporate social responsibility (CSR), via the Sesama Mara welfare programme last year.
Its acting chief executive officer Abas Abdullah said the allocation for Sesama Mara has increased, compared to RM321,710 in 2021.
"This CSR programme started during the Covid-19 pandemic and is still ongoing. Last year, its initiatives included food boxes, online learning for the B40 community, as well as visits to orphanages and retirement centres.

"In fact, during the visits to the orphanages and the retirement centres, we also provided free water pipe replacements," he said when contacted today.
Earlier on, Abas announced that Air Selangor plans to offer free online learning applications to over 100 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates this year.
"This free access is under Sesama Mara, and focuses on the B40 community. To start, we will distribute it to the children of Air Selangor employees who will be taking their SPM exams.
"Overall, the initiatives implemented by Air Selangor are aimed at assisting all consumers in the entire area, namely Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya," he said.
