SHAH ALAM, Sept 20 — The state government has set up a task force to facilitate and coordinate the implementation of projects under the Integrated Development Region In South Selangor (Idriss).
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the task force will also review and resolve any issues related to the projects that may arise.
“The development process will be sustainably carried out, with a focus on preserving nature.
“The committee will oversee the implementation of the proposed development projects without compromising the well-being of nearby residents, and will also ensure the surrounding areas remains protected,” he said in a Facebook post.
Under the First Selangor Plan (RS-1), the state government has made it a goal to encourage development activities alongside impactful and high-value investment in the Sepang and Kuala Langat districts via Idriss.
Amirudin added the development projects will be driven by private investments, with an estimated Gross Development Value of RM1 trillion.
“We will try our best to ensure these development projects can run smoothly for Selangor’s prosperity,” he said.
