SHAH ALAM, June 17 — The Jobcare Selangor Roadshow this week will be continued at Dewan Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat in Banting Baru tomorrow.
The programme, jointly organised by the Selangor Workers Empowerment Unit (UPPS) and the Social Security Organisation (Socso), will begin at 9am and until 4.30pm.
UPPS chief coordinator S Vijayan said up to 16 companies from various sectors will participate in the roadshow tomorrow.
"For approximately 80 per cent of the companies participating in the Jobcare Selangor Roadshow, it is their first time. They include Kossan, Pos Logistic, Shinetsu, Wilmar, Edgenta Uems and the courier company Line Clear.
"As such job seekers are urged to not miss the opportunity as all the employers require workers immediately, with all of them nearby in Banting," he told SelangorKini.
Vijayan added that UPPS is targeting over 100 job seekers particularly the local community will join in the roadshow.
"For now over 80 job seekers have signed up via the website and are expected to take part in the interviews sessions during the roadshow," he said.
The roadshow began at Dewan Hamzah in Klang on February 26, and will conclude in Dewan Sri Bernam, Sabak Bernam, on June 25.
