SHAH ALAM, May 19 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari launched the Selgate integrated healthcare centre at the University of Selangor (Unisel) earlier today.
He said the opening of the centre is proof of the state's commitment to preparing quality health services for the people.
"I believe with a facility such as this today, it proves we are determined to increase the health aspect and not only focus on profit.
"The state government's track record is proven with the health care programmes and today we broaden it with the Selangor Saring programme to strengthen the health agenda," Amirudin said during the officiation of the centre's launch.
The opening of the RM3.5 mln facility includes public health clinics, dental clinics, the Jovian Selcare pharmacy and a diagnostics laboratory.
Meanwhile Selgate Group chief executive officer Noor Hisham Mohd Ghouth said the move is in line with the state government's wish to augment and improve health services in urban areas, particularly Shah Alam.
"Although we are in a state of uncertainty, but the access to quality and affordable healthcare should not be compromised.
"We only want to provide people with ongoing care, give them more facilities and access to consulting, healthcare services and expertise," he said.
