SHAH ALAM, May 10 — The Selangor Women's Welfare and Charity Organisation (Pekawanis) has distributed RM64,000 to 32 constituencies for Mother’s Day celebration.
Its president Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad said the celebration will be held in stages during a one month period beginning May 8, and the constituencies are given leeway to plan their own activities.
“The constituencies will also give awards involving several categories to women who excel in taking care of their families and educating their children to achieve success," she said when contacted today.
Masdiana said the contribution aims to strengthen the association’s relationship with the local community.
“Pekawanis always strive to work together with the community in implementing various benefit programmes," she added.
