MPAJ urges residents to report fallen trees via hotline

AMPANG JAYA, Feb 26 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has urged residents within its jurisdiction to immediately lodge complaints through official channels if they encounter fallen trees obstructing roads or similar issues.

Residents may do so via the Public Complaints Management System or by calling the toll-free number 1-800-22-8100 to enable the authorities to take prompt action.

In a post shared on its official Facebook page yesterday, MPAJ said it received a complaint in the morning about a fallen tree blocking a public road in Taman Ampang Utama and immediately dispatched a team to the scene.

“The enforcement team carried out clearing works between 10 am and 11 am after receiving a complaint from a local resident. This was to ensure the safety of residents and road users and to prevent any untoward incidents,” it said.

MPAJ said it remains committed to creating a safe and liveable environment, particularly in addressing hazardous trees that could pose a danger to the community if left unattended.

“The public may report dangerous trees or any public safety issues through MPAJ’s official channels, including the Public Complaints Management System or the toll-free line 1-800-22-8100, so that immediate action can be taken in the public interest,” it added.
