Air Selangor targets more sustainable services to meet demand, climate change

SHAH ALAM, Feb 13 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd will continue to strengthen its operations and infrastructure to ensure the water supply remains stable, sustainable, and reliable this year, while expanding international collaboration.

It aims to continue playing a leading role in the industry through strategic partnerships to address rising water demand and the challenges posed by climate change.

“In addition, Air Selangor is targeting continued progress in the construction of water treatment plants (WTP), including Rasau Phase 1 (700 MLD, completion in 2027), Labohan Dagang Phase 2 (200 MLD, 2029), Langat 2 Phase 2 (1,130 MLD, 2030), and Rasau Phase 2 (700 MLD, 2031),” the company said in a statement today.

Air Selangor will also strengthen its water distribution system and continue efforts to reduce the Non-Revenue Water (NRW) rate through new performance-based contracts.

It remains committed to ensuring consumers continue to receive clean and safe water supply, while enhancing customer experience for residential properties and business premises.
