Illegal dumping, land issues top Selangor priorities

SHAH ALAM, Jan 6 — Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari has identified illegal dumping, land encroachment, and land ownership as the three main issues that will be given immediate attention across all districts in Selangor.

This comes after his meeting with nine district officers today to gather input on issues and developments in their respective districts, some of which will be raised at the next State Executive Council meeting.

Amirudin also offered several views that may be considered as “quick win solutions” to some of the local issues raised.

"The state government remains focused on implementing key programmes, disaster management and district administration, which will continue to be prioritised in the interest of the people as a whole.

"Therefore, I am focusing on three main matters that will be given specific and immediate attention across all districts, namely expediting and resolving issues related to illegal dumping, land encroachment, and land ownership as well as strata titles," he said in a Facebook post today.

Amirudin is confident that the administration can accelerate its efforts, anchored by unity and adaptability through the #KitaSelangor framework.

The Menteri Besar also commended frontliners at District Offices for their hard work in assisting the state achieve revenue exceeding RM3 billion for the first time in Selangor's history.

On Wednesday (December 31), he announced that the state administration had managed to collect RM3 billion in revenue throughout 2025, its highest on record.

The figure is a marked improvement from the initial target of RM2.3 billion.
