MELAKA, Jan 2 — A Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel involved in the Super Lynx helicopter landing incident during the New Year's Eve celebration at Pantai Klebang here will be transferred to 96 Armed Forces Hospital (96 HAT), Lumut, Perak today.

State health, human resources and unity executive counsellor Datuk Ngwe Hee Sem said senior chief of Technician Marine Srimala (TMS) Mohammad Zullfika Mohiddi is currently still receiving treatment at the Yellow Zone, Emergency and Trauma Department of the Melaka Hospital due to injuries to his waist and right calf.

"Mohammad Zullfika is expected to be transferred to 96 Armed Forces Hospital to receive further treatment there," he said in a statement here today.

Ngwe said Lieutenant Commander Afiq Muzani Abdul Aziz is still under close medical supervision at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Melaka Hospital after suffering lung complications.

He said Afiq Muzani would also be transferred to the 96 Armed Forces Hospital after his condition is completely stable.

On Wednesday, a Super Lynx helicopter of the Royal Malaysian Navy made an emergency landing in the waters of Pantai Klebang while the aircraft was carrying out a demonstration flight in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Special Operations Group (GGK), Malaysian Army (TDM).

Four air crew were on board the aircraft when the incident occurred at about 10.50 pm and all of them were successfully rescued and taken to the Melaka Hospital for further examination.
