SHAH ALAM, Dec 28 — A total of RM26 million was channelled into infrastructure upgrades and development projects in the Kinrara state constituency in 2025, aimed at improving public facilities and connectivity, says assemblyman Ng Sze Han.

Presenting his annual report card, Ng said the bulk of the allocation was channelled into road resurfacing and flood mitigation projects, which accounted for nearly three-quarters of the total funding.

"Since taking my oath as the Kinrara assemblyman in 2023, my team and I at the Kinrara state constituency service centre have identified several key public infrastructure projects that require development, upgrading and maintenance.

"This decision was made as issues related to roads, flooding, waste management and safety are among the main concerns consistently raised by residents.

"The service centre regularly engages with government agencies to ensure that infrastructure projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe and meet the required standards of quality," he posted on Facebook today.

According to Ng, RM11 million was allocated this year to resurface more than a dozen major roads across the constituency, while a further RM8.3 million was spent on flood mitigation projects, including RM6.5 million for the floodwater diversion project in Bandar Puchong Jaya.

An additional RM1 million was channelled towards upgrading the Taman Wawasan Recreational Park in Puchong, RM600,000 was used to improve the Pasar Pagi Merak, and RM790,000 was allocated for the installation of LED and solar-powered street lights.

In terms of sports development, Ng said RM1.3 million was spent throughout the year on the construction of new basketball courts, the upgrading of existing facilities, as well as the development of six pickleball courts.

Meanwhile, RM990,000 was allocated to upgrade three multipurpose halls, while RM1.6 million was spent on improving public transportation infrastructure, including pedestrian walkways and the construction of five new bus stops.

"I would like to thank the government agencies that have continuously supported and facilitated these efforts," he said.
