PUTRAJAYA, Nov 28 — The Prime Minister's former senior political secretary Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin presented himself at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters today to have his statement recorded pertaining to corruption allegations made by businessman Albert Tei.
Sources said he arrived at the MACC headquarters at around 12pm.
The MACC said that apart from Tei and Shamsul, the woman featured in a viral conversation with Tei had also given her statement yesterday.
On Tuesday (November 25), Shamsul announced his resignation as the Prime Minister's senior political secretary.
The MACC had previously confirmed the launch of a probe into the corruption allegations involving both Tei and Shamsul, stating that all relevant parties would be summoned to provide evidence.
