SUBANG JAYA, Sept 24 — The Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin graced the highlights of the National School Resource Centre (PSS) TV Festival 2025 today.

Her Royal Highness arrived at 10.10am and was received by the Education Ministry’s Educational Resources and Technology Division (BSTP) director Aniza Kamarulzaman and Sinar Karangkraf chief executive officer Farah Hussamudin.

Jointly organised by BSTP and Sinar Bestari, the festival aims to position PSS TV as a creative digital learning platform with the involvement of schools nationwide.

This year’s edition featured 32 entries from primary and secondary schools across the country competing in eight categories, including Best Host, Best Editor, and Best PSS TV Teacher.

Themed “Digital Transformation, Global Sustainability, Boundless Creativity Exploring the Future: Technology and Nature”, the festival focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as well as Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Aniza said that the festival provided a platform that connects students’ capabilities with 21st-century educational needs while strengthening communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills, in addition to nurturing their talent in broadcasting and digital media.

“Through this festival, the ministry is confident more students will emerge as bold, innovative agents of change who are ready to contribute to the nation’s development,” she said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Farah said PSS TV also catalysed strengthening the education system by fostering digital literacy, collaboration and communication-based leadership, in line with the ministry’s aspiration to produce holistic, competitive students ready for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

PSS TV was established to train students in producing educational video content, while encouraging the mastery of media, journalism and production skills in line with digital technology advancements.
