KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 — Five eateries were destroyed in a fire at Block C, Gugusan Kesumbar Flats, Jalan Pekaka 8/1, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, this evening.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received a call about the fire at 6.06pm.
“The first fire engine from Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station reached the location at 6.20pm and managed to bring the fire under control by 6.24pm,” he said in a statement tonight.
Mukhlis added that the fire affected five eateries measuring 50x50 square feet each, which were destroyed.
The fire also destroyed a Proton Saga (20 per cent), a Proton Wira (60 per cent), and three motorcycles (50 per cent each). No casualties were recorded.
