KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, last night extended Malaysia Day greetings.
In a post on Sultan Ibrahim’s Facebook page, Their Majesties also prayed that Malaysia would be blessed with lasting peace and protected from any calamity.
Sultan Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the unity and consensus among people of various races, which has remained the nation’s strength since its early days.
The Malaysia Day celebration, themed “Malaysia Madani: People Minded”, kicked off at the PICCA Convention Centre in Butterworth, Penang, at 9am today.
