AMPANG JAYA, Sept 10 — The Selangor People’s Tuition Programme (PTRS) module is now beginning to be used in schools outside the state, in addition to benefitting Selangor's pupils.

Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI Foundation chief Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the free programme has already been implemented in Pahang and most recently in Kelantan.

“The use of PTRS is becoming more widespread and is also benefiting students outside Selangor. Two weeks ago, we went to Kelantan to give a briefing, and they agreed to use the PTRS module to assist students.

“This module will begin its usage in 20 schools involving the Kota Bharu and Tumpat District Education Offices.

“In Pahang, the PTRS module is being used by students at the Mara Junior Science College (MRSM). Not only that, the Didik Kasih literacy programme for remedial class pupils is also being implemented in Kedah,” he said.

Azri was speaking to the press after presenting cash contributions to four families of fire victims in Kampung Tasek Tambahan today.

Previously, the state government allocated RM11 million to implement PTRS 2025, benefiting over 160,000 students.

It focuses on providing supplementary classes in Malay, English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Additional Mathematics for Form Four and Form Five students from low-income (B40) families or those with average or weak academic performance.
