KLANG, Sept 9 — Yayasan Hijrah Selangor has channelled financing totalling RM882 million to 61,300 entrepreneurs from 2015 until July this year.
State executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi said the financing involved 92,600 transactions under the i-Bisnes and Niaga Darul Ehsan (NaDI) schemes.
“The NaDI scheme alone has provided 550 financing packages since 2024, amounting to RM4 million. Records show that this scheme has successfully achieved full repayment.
“Hijrah Selangor’s approach of offering a special 8.88 per cent rate is a fresh initiative to attract entrepreneurs in need of business assistance,” he said after launching the Celebr8.88% NaDI Merdeka campaign today.
Najwan added that Hijrah Selangor is also reviewing the best mechanism to set financing rates at the lowest possible level so as not to burden entrepreneurs.
“Many do not understand that this financing rate is to cover operating and administrative costs, as Hijrah Selangor does not receive funding from the state government.
“The rates charged are not arbitrary, and the repayments collected are redistributed to other entrepreneurs in need,” he said.
Hijrah Selangor offers two main financing schemes: i-Bisnes, which provides up to RM50,000, and NaDI, which provides up to RM50,000 specifically for women entrepreneurs to expand their businesses.
