KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 — Port Dickson MP cum Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has been appointed as a member of the Dewan Rakyat Committee of Selection, replacing Pandan MP Datuk Seri Mohd Rafizi Ramli for the 15th Parliament term.
The motion, tabled by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Kulasegaran Murugeson under Standing Order 76 of the Dewan Rakyat Standing Orders, was passed by a majority voice vote.
The Committee of Selection is chaired by Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul, and it comprises six members.
They include Deputy Prime Minister cum Petra Jaya MP Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Transport Minister cum Seremban MP Anthony Loke, and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) cum Pengerang MP Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
The others are Opposition Leader cum Larut MP Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin and Kota Bharu MP Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.
