SEPANG, July 3 — The construction of the Idaman and Harapan categories of Rumah Selangorku are going smoothly, and has helped more people own homes.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the state administration will keep pursuing its agenda to build affordable homes for the people’s comfort.

“Today, 1,448 units of Idaman homes are ready, and we have handed keys over to the owners. Thirteen per cent of units were given back to the state for its Smart Sewa Scheme.

“This year, we will also hand over Idaman home keys for the Bukit Jelutong project in Shah Alam, involving over 1,400 units, and Air Manis (Sabak Bernam) involving 1,260 units,” he said.

Amirudin earlier attended a key handover ceremony for Rumah Idaman Melur to several owners here today.

The project is the second of six Rumah Idaman projects under Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), implemented by Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB) and developer MGB.

Built on a 4.88ha land and comprising two 23-storey apartments, the project involved a gross development value of RM406 million.

Each RM250,000 unit comes with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as furnishings such as air conditioners, refrigerators, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, televisions, and water heaters.

Meanwhile, PNSB chief executive officer Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim said more Idaman projects will be built in Gombak, Klang, Kuala Selangor and Petaling.

In September last year, Amirudin said around 41,000 Rumah Idaman units will be built in stages until 2028 to help residents own affordable, comfortable homes.

Each unit comes furnished with televisions, refrigerators, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, water heaters, and air conditioners, with the projects built at strategic locations.
