SHAH ALAM, June 27 — The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) recorded RM30.15 million in revenue collection via the MyMPS online payment portal as of May.
Its Deputy President Az'har Samsuri said the payments involved assessment taxes, business licence renewals, stall rentals, building and planning permits, compounds, deposits, and planning submissions.
“Assessment tax recorded the highest collection at RM24.66 million with 44,719 transactions, followed by business licences at RM2.40 million (3,048 transactions).
“Stall rentals brought in RM1.48 million through 4,277 transactions, while building and planning permits amounted to RM1.03 million involving 226 transactions, alongside compounds totalling RM162,785 across 2,479 transactions,” he said during MPS' monthly full meeting on Monday (June 23).
Az'har added that the percentage of cashless transactions received by MPS stood at 77.63 per cent of the total transactions made up to May.
The public, especially traders and property owners under the jurisdiction of the local authority, may check and make payments at mymps.mps.gov.my.
