GOMBAK, June 7 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today handed over five of nine cows he has pledged for Aidiladha sacrificial rites, at the Qurban Strata Gombak event here.
The meat was distributed to the over 600 residents of five apartments in the Sungai Tua state constituency — Pangsapuri Kenanga, Pangsapuri Permai, Pangsapuri Selangorku Seri Temenggung, Pangsapuri Beringin and Pangsapuri Cempaka.
The Sungai Tua assemblyman, who attended the event with his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad, slaughtered two cows and helped residents divide the meat.

Pangsapuri Kenanga Surau Al Ansar chairman Mohd Nasir Zakaria expressed gratitude that he could host sacrificial rites for the constituency.
“Every year, the Menteri Besar gives us (sacrificial) cows, and this is the fourth year. A thousand thanks to him for being concerned for and good to us,” he said.
On June 1, Amirudin distributed 103 sacrificial cattle in Sungai Tua, Gombak Setia, and Hulu Kelang for Aidiladha.
The meat is being channelled to strata communities, village committees, non-governmental groups, community clubs, and surau in the area.
